Innovation on the Line at Hörmann Oro-Medonte – As Seen in gb&d Magazine

In February, we had the pleasure of hosting Laura Rote, managing editor for gb&d Magazine, at Hörmann’s factory in Oro-Medonte, Ontario, Canada for a tour and interview. The result of the visit is a must read article called “Innovation on the Line - Improving Processes for More Sustainable Manufacturing,” one of four stories in the Efficient Designs section of Issue 74, published in May 2026.  It’s a 10 page focus story about how the Oro-Medonte manufacturing processes were improved to become more sustainable, and the article includes photos that provide an inside look at some of the new manufacturing equipment that was commissioned just prior to opening the new Oro-Medonte facility in Fall 2025.
