Hörmann Introduces the NXTLink Keypad – Next Generation Control Box Technology

In April 2026, Hörmann introduced the NXTLink Keypad, a powerful upgrade to the Remote Keypad launched three years ago.

Now available on all fabric and rigid high-performance doors (excluding rubber doors and low-speed Speed-Guardian™ and Steel-Ranger™ models), the NXTLink Keypad comes factory-installed at eye-level on the guide track of the SC1500C for quick, convenient access. All main control box functions — including initial setup, open/close operation, and service and troubleshooting — are fully accessible at the door. Its placement also allows the main control box to be installed away from the door, reducing unauthorized access by passersby.

The upgraded 2-line display mirrors the main control box 1:1, a notable improvement over the previous 4-character, 7-segment display. Three color-coded LED status lights (green, red, and blue) deliver clear, at-a-glance feedback, while four buttons handle all essential functions: open, close, stop, and the newly added night mode, which disables external door activation during off hours to strengthen building security.
