CASE STUDY: Gilmore Car Museum Selects the Modern Classic 7500 for New Summer House Event Center
Project Overview
Fourteen Hörmann Modern Classic 7500 full view garage doors in rustic, Light Fir were selected by the Gilmore Car Museum as a major design component for their new Summer House Event Center that was completed in July 2025. The Summer House is a 4000 square foot event center available for rental by the local community. Modern Classic 7500 full view doors were installed around the structure to create a wall of windows, and when the doors are open, the banquet space is transformed into an indoor / outdoor venue.

Why Hörmann Was Chosen
Hörmann was chosen by the Gilmore Car Museum because of the ability to provide a customizable product that met their specifications. The Modern Classic 7500 Woodgrain Light Fir finish perfectly matched the project's color scheme while offering the maintenance-free longevity they were looking for.
Collaboration and Execution
The Hörmann sales team collaborated closely with the local dealer through lengthy discussions about the best way to size and install the Modern Classic garage door to fit seamlessly around the timber building. Multiple design changes were made throughout project planning, which the Hörmann sales team and dealer easily accommodated for a stunning result.
