Coast Garage Door Wins November Doors of Gratitude Challenge

Hörmann North America was proud to announce Coast Garage Door Company as the winner of the 2025 November Doors of Gratitude Challenge. ​​​​​

This first ever challenge required that the Hörmann dealer generously gift someone in need within their community with a free Hörmann door and installation. The recipient was to be a family, a non-profit business, or a local hero or veteran, and nominations by dealers were accepted through November 2025.

Coast Garage Door Company, Seaside, Oregon, was the clear winner. They gifted a local family with a brand new, beautiful and efficient Therma Tech 3400 as a replacement for an old, wood door. The story of the family who received the complimentary door is amazing and a testament to the season of giving by this Hörmann dealer partner. 

November Doors of Gratitude Challenge Winner's Story:

“This Thanksgiving, our team had the privilege of giving back to someone who has spent her life giving to others. We were honored to gift a brand-new garage door to a remarkable single mother in our community—a woman whose strength, compassion, and selflessness inspire everyone who knows her.

 Despite facing her own challenges, including living disabled, she works tirelessly to support her three children. Two of them are her nieces, whom she welcomed into her home without hesitation when their parents could no longer care for them. She stepped up, not because it was easy, but because it was right.

 Her home is full of love and activity—especially thanks to her son, who is involved in nearly every sport at the local high school. Between practices, games, school events, and the everyday responsibilities of raising a family, she somehow still finds the time to stay active in the community. She is the kind of neighbor who shows up, the kind of parent every child deserves, and the kind of person who makes our town stronger.

 When we learned that her garage door had become unsafe and unreliable, we knew we could help. This Thanksgiving, our team installed a brand-new garage door —giving her family a safer, more secure entrance to their home and one less worry going into the winter season.

 For us, it was more than just a door. It was a way to honor a mother who has opened her own door to so many others.

 We are grateful for the opportunity to give back, and even more grateful for the inspiring families—like hers—who remind us of what community truly means.”
