Hörmann Test Lab
International door manufacturer Hörmann has announced the addition of its in-house testing laboratory in Montgomery, Illinois.
The 2,250 sq. ft. in-house facility has the capabilities of conducting door cycle testing, static wind load pressure testing, and operator evaluations. The construction of the lab began in 2007 with excess of $250,000 investment in the new facility.
Under the direct responsibility of Hörmann Engineering Department, it currently employs two full time lab technicians dedicated to the door testing and evaluation. Most importantly, the Hörmann testing laboratory is ISO 17025 accredited since 2008. The ISO 17025 is the main standard used by testing and calibration laboratories in U.S.
Larry Campbell, Hörmann’s Vice President of Sales & Marketing, added "Having our own in-house door testing and evaluation lab is just another way to show how we are committed to the quality of our products. Our lab will enable us to expedite the manufacturing and quality control processes by doing everything within our facility without outsourcing them. It will serve as a tremendous resource in the launching of our new product line."
